About the Authentic Living Membership

Authentic Living is a free mental health platform that offers psychoeducational content and an online forum for individuals to connect with others dealing with similar issues.

 

The online forum provides a safe and supportive space for individuals to connect with others who are dealing with similar issues and to share their experiences and insights, with the priority to make this space as safe as possible so that all members feel safe to be their authentic self. 

 

In order to create and maintain a safe space for all, please read the following rules prior to signing up.

The entire purpose of creating this online forum is to create an authentically safe space for members to connect with each other. Members who do not respect the rules and fail to make this community a safe space for members to interact will immediately be removed from the forum. 

 

Please read the following guidelines before engaging in the forum:

 

  1. No hate speech or discrimination of any kind will be tolerated. This includes but is not limited to racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, and religious discrimination.  

  2. No personal attacks or harassment will be allowed. This includes but is not limited to name-calling, bullying, and threatening behaviour.

  3. Members must respect the privacy of others and not share personal information without their consent. What is said within this online forum stay within the forum

  4. Members must be respectful of other users and their opinions, even if they do not agree with them. It is okay to disagree. It is not okay to bully others for having different views

  5. Members must be mindful of their language and tone when posting to ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all.

  6. Any member who is found to be in violation of these rules may be removed from the forum without warning.

Please note that this mental health forum is designed to provide a supportive and informative space for individuals to share their experiences and connect with others. However, it is not a replacement for professional medical support or therapy. The information and resources provided on this platform are intended for educational and informational purposes only, and should not be considered as medical advice or a substitute for a mental health professional's diagnosis or treatment. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, please contact your local emergency services or seek immediate medical attention. We encourage all members to consult with a licensed mental health professional before making any decisions related to their mental health.

When signing up for our mental health forum, members have the option to make their profiles public or private. However, any client who is currently receiving counselling services from Stephanie Underwood, RSW, must keep their account private at all times.

 

We also advise any clients of Stephanie Underwood that joining the forum may pose a potential risk for ethical purposes. It is recommended that you wait for your counselling follow-up with Stephanie to come to an end before joining the forum.

 

The privacy and confidentiality of our members are of the utmost importance, and we encourage all members to be respectful of each other's privacy and maintain a safe and supportive environment for everyone.
