From the moment we take our first breath, we are utterly dependent on our primary caregivers to cater to our physical and emotional needs, laying down the initial framework of our existence. Our perceptions of the world and self-identity in adulthood are shaped inextricably by the ability, or lack thereof, of these caregivers to fulfill our needs. These formative years are a crucible, wherein even the slightest misstep can potentially cause deep-seated emotional scars. Trauma, a profound emotional response to distressing experiences, can often originate from such early life experiences. The healing process of trauma, as complex as its origin, is a journey that is unique for each individual.
